Dedicated to Team “LakRoo” (www.lakrooec.blogspot.com)
It’s a beautiful day (12th October 2013) my friends came to our home around 6 a.m. & we had a snack & start our journey around 7 a.m. from Kandy. Team was 8 & our transport was motorbikes. We reached to Hunnasgiriya around 8 a.m. and bought necessary things from Hunnasgiriya & filed with fuel too. There is no any town after turning this point.

Need to turn left from Hunnasgiriya near filing station to Loolwaththa road. there are nearly 30 km to Meemure from Hunnasgiriya. One bus belong to CTB is there only for Loolwaththa.

We were travelled through knuckles forest reservation with passing Koboneela, Loolwaththa & well known place Korbert gap (Also calling “Sulan Kapolla”) we were passed beautifull tea states in koboneela & passing heavily covered forest closed to Loolwaththa. Mini worlds end, Dothalugala Reservation, Vedilunu Guhawa are the main place you can visit before reche to Meemure.

Road condition is not so good. But the road is preparing these days with putting tar & making water cannels too. You can reach easily after few months to Kobert gap. But we were not found these actions after Kobert gap.

There were heavy downhill from Korbert gap to meemure around 12 km with short & danger bends.

Meemure is a rural village which is used to make famous film “Sooriya Arana”. There is a Stone Mountain middle of the village call “Lakegala”.  There are many places to get a fun bathing in the village with nice scenery.

With the feeling of Meemure we start to come back from there around 2 p.m. & reach to Hunnasgiriya around 5 p.m.

Our teams “LakRoo” enjoy well with this marvelous journey and we invite you to get this superb experience and feel the beauty of our mother land.

Hope to see you soon with another beauty & Adventure journey

Thank You
