There are three main way to reach delthota from Kandy town. One is Peradeniya, Mahakanda, Galaha road which is the main road (34Km) & the second one is Thalathuoya, Belwood road (29Km) & the other one is Thalathuoya, Marassana, Wadiyagoda road (39Km)  The town is located near to Nuwara Eliya District, and has a similar climate to Nuwara Eliya, which often requires wearing a jacket to keep you warm. Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims live together in Delthota. It has multi-cultural environment. People are so friendly.

We start our journey from Thalathuoya around 6.30 a.m. & reach to the town around 7.30 a.m.  & we had our breakfast from the town.

Delthota is famous because of the similar climate to Nuwara Eliya as well as Loolkandura tea estate (The place where first tea tree cultivated in Sri Lanka) is situated close to the town.

There is a small road leading toward the mountain near bus stand. Places around there are suddenly clouded in the morning & evening time. Climate is instantly changed. You should have something to cover your body from cooled wind. There are ranges of mountain close to the village with picturesque view & surrounded with tea states.

The places are really nice to reduce our day-to-day stress. It was a superb experience & invites you to have this marvelous experience and feel the beauty of our mother land in different angle.
